I didn’t like anything I drew today, so instead, I’m going to put up two that were okay.

This first one, i started with single strand.  Hands are hiding because no matter what I try, hands folded in front looks like ass.  Times like this though, I wish I had an eraser to go with the pencils.

This second one, I started with the hair, and everything else came from it.  I think i actually like doing single lines for hair strands, comes off softer.  The wind just makes the hair look better.  The dress, I hate.

Okay, first one of hopefully one a day.  This took me an hour and a half, which is very sad since it shouldn’t have taken more than 5 minutes.  Still, can’t get better without practice, this would be the crawling stage.  No eyes.  I can’t do eyes.  Never have I been able to make eyes I like with a graphite pencil.

The problem is that I just can’t do bodies.  For some reason, I just can’t put any feelings into my characters.  Stilllifes and inanimate objects, no problems there.  Maybe I”ll try one of those next, but the only way I can get back to doing comics again is if I can make characters, so there may be more suffering ahead.
